Electrical Engineer

Role overview
Electrical Engineer specialized in the design and implementation of electrical systems for intralogistics and automated material handling solutions. Strong experience with EPLAN for schematic design, panel engineering, and project documentation, supporting projects from concept through commissioning.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop electrical designs for intralogistics equipment

  • Create detailed electrical schematics, terminal diagrams, cable lists, and bills of materials using EPLAN.

  • Define control panel layouts, component sizing, and network architectures.

  • Collaborate with mechanical, automation, and software teams to ensure seamless system integration.

  • Support PLC and HMI engineers with I/O lists, power distribution concepts, and field device allocation.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards and safety regulations (IEC, EN, UL where applicable).

  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and technical documentation.

  • Provide technical support during manufacturing, installation, and commissioning phases.

  • Interface with suppliers and customers regarding technical clarifications and approvals.

  • Contribute to cost optimization and standardization of electrical solutions.

Required skills & experience

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

  • Experience in intralogistics or material handling projects

  • Strong proficiency in EPLAN

  • Knowledge of industrial networks, sensors, drives, and safety circuits.

  • Ability to read and understand mechanical and automation documentation.

  • Structured, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects.

  • Good communication skills in multidisciplinary and international environments.

  • English communication both Written and speaking

Nice to have

  • Experience with commissioning and site activities.

  • Familiarity with PLC platforms (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, Beckhoff).

  • Knowledge of functional safety concepts.
